The Oxfordshire Golf Club Access Membership

Access is an introductory membership designed to encourage new golfers to make the decision to join The Oxfordshire as a full 5 or 7-day member.

It helps the decision making process by allowing new members to 'test the water' before 'taking the plunge'. Many potential members see the fear of the unknown in joining a new club and parting with a large initial payment as the two biggest barriers to joining a golf club, Access breaks down these barriers.

For a limted time, new Access members will receive a joining package.
About Access
Access will be offered for an initial 'limited period'
It is an introductory membership leading only to full 5 or 7-day member.ship of a Leaderboard Golf Club. (See below)
Access Membership will run for a period of 6 months. When completed, the same person cannot undertake Access membership again.
Access cannot be purchased by existing members or by any person who has held any category of membership in the preceding 12 months.
Access allows playing rights at all Leaderboard Golf Clubs.
Access Members will belong to one Leaderboard club, known as their 'home' club. The other clubs in the Leaderboard Group will be known as 'away' clubs.
Leaderboard's Access to Golf is open to new and experienced players.
Access - how does it work?
Membership is taken out at a Leaderboard Golf Club, for example The Oxfordshire. This club will from then on be known as the 'home' club of that Access Member.

The member will buy an Access 900 Pack that will give the member 900 points on an Access Members Card (AMC)

Each time an Access Member plays golf at his or her 'home' course, an amount of points are deducted from their AMC. The number of points deducted is based on weekend or weekday golf and in or out of season. Different days and seasons will cost the golfer a different number of points.

If an Access Member chooses to play at another Leaderboard course, the booking must be made at the home course and the member will receive special green fees at the away course.

At the end of a 6-month period, the Access Member will be asked to join as a full 5 or 7-day member. If they choose to do so, golf purchased and used by the access member during the 6 months, up to a maximum of £900, will be offset against their joining fee.
(Guest golf not included in the 6 months)

Should an Access Member still be unsure about joining after 6 months and wish to continue as an Access Member, this can be arranged for an additional 6 months. Only then can any of the initial 900 points be carried forward to the remainder of the year. No unused points will be refunded. The Access Member must then join as a 5 or 7-day member or decline membership of The Oxfordshire.

As at the end of year one, 50% of your original Access points bought (£450) will be offset against their joining fee if they become a 5 or 7-day member.

What do Access Members get?
The new Access member will have 5 or 7-Day members playing rights.
